  • Diet: consuming a meal that is rich in sodium and salt overall might increase the risks of developing hypertension. This is because more water is used to remove excess salt in the body and this can raise blood pressure depending on the individual. 
Mostly for women, consuming at least two servings of vegetables and fruits daily can be an ideal way to lose weight and control it, but avoiding much salt in our meals is the effective way to control and prevent it.

  • Metabolic syndrome: obesity is among the root causes of metabolic syndrome means difficulties in the metabolism process of the body, like resistance to insulin, and dyslipidemia. More than 85% of people with metabolic disorders have raised blood pressure.
For example, fats deposition and accumulation can result in atherosclerosis which can favor insulin resistance. Abdominal obesity is a major metabolic syndrome.

Obesity is a devastating life-threatening condition. It is linked to many diseases other than hypertension, but the good news is that if an individual try really hard, there is hope to reduce all associated risks. Most parts of the body can be affected by being obese.
